Questions About the New Book

Who’s Talking?

I need to decide this before I begin writing.  My first novel was in first person, which for me was easy, but other writers say its hard.

IDEAS!

The protagonist will be working in some sort of covert employment  in Nashville, Tennessee, where he  will find his first clue while on the job, that will lead him to Southern Illinois University.

The protagonist is one of millions of middle class people who must work massive amounts of overtime, or hold one or two other jobs to make ends meet.  He was the victim of a layoff during the recession.

Our protagonist, while on campus, flashes back to the time he finds the first clue in Nashville.

Southern Illinois University will be the base from which our protagonist ventures outward, possibly to Chicago.

The protagonist meets a student at the university, who will be instrumental in solving the grand puzzle that has been set before him.

Paul and Virginia

The statue of Paul and Virginia on the old campus will figure into the story.

I hope to start writing chapter one by the end of this month.
